DREAM Project

Dominican Republic Education and Mentoring (DREAM) Project's mission is to run inclusive, sustainable education programs for children and youth in the Dominican Republic that can be replicated throughout impoverished global communities. They work around Cabarete and also run a volunteer program. 

Mariposa DR Foundation
The Mariposa DR Foundation was founded in 2009. Its mission is inspired by the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, which include eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, achieving universal primary education, Promoting gender equality and empowering women, reducing the child mortality rate, improving maternal health, combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensuring environmental sustainability, and developing a global partnership for development. 

Outreach 360 
Outreach 360's mission is to be a world class provider of international service-learning opportunities, providing a consistent and predict-able volunteer experience, surprising and delighting our volunteers with a powerful cultural experience and the ability to make a significant difference, resulting in a 100% enthusiasm rating - volunteers want to join us again and/or are willing to encourage their friends and family to join us. The cultural interchange (intercambio) is a significant outcome of our efforts. Their current efforts are in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

Dominican Foundation
The Dominican Foundation has sought to improve the lives of Dominicans in the United States and in the Dominican Republic by expanding their access to Health and Education. With the help of a group of Dominicans and Americans, the Dominican Foundation has supported numerous organizations. A particular relationship has forged with the Dominican Institute for Integral Development (IDDI). IDDI is one of the primary development organizations in the Dominican Republic with over 25 years of experience of working with the urban and rural poor in the Dominican Republic. Dominican Foundation and IDDI run a volunteer abroad program. 

Instituto Dominicano de Desarrollo Integral (IDDI) 
IDDI is a non-profit organization that contributes to poverty relief in both rural and urban areas.  It is staffed by men and women who work with communities and local organizations interested in taking responsibility to improve their living conditions and that of their neighbors. IDDI is one of the primary Dominican Foundation

World Connect 
World Connect improves the lives of women and children in the developing world by empowering local leaders to drive change in their communities, impacting health, education, economic opportunity and the environment. In the process, we inspire young Americans to think and act globally and philanthropically by engaging them in our partnerships and our projects. This program began in the Dominican Republic and now has expended to countries in Latin America and Africa. They accept grant proposals ($250 - $5000) from Peace Corps volunteers.
